FCC landed in Saudi Arabia with its water business

FCC has a contract in Saudi Arabia to manage the water. The project is the first of its kind made ​​by a Spanish company in the Middle East.

FCC landed in Saudi Arabia through its subsidiary Aqualia. The group has a water management contract for 27 million euros over two years. The deal marks a further step in international expansion as both FCC Aqualia.

It is the first of its kind made ​​by a Spanish company in the region. Middle East has become one of the strategic markets for the company controlled by Esther Koplowitz. One example is the recently announced agreement with the Commodore group plans to enter the infrastructure that developed in Abu Dhabi.

FCC believes that this project allows Aqualia position in one of the largest travel markets worldwide in the water sector.
Saudi Arabia joins the list of countries in which Aqualia is already present, Czech Republic, Algeria, Italy, Portugal, Mexico, China, Egypt, Ecuador and Romania.

At the end of 2010, the water subsidiary had a portfolio exceeding 12,000 million euros after gaining more than 1,100 million in contracts during that year.
