Kuwait International Airport
The Kuwait International Airport, was executed between 1965-68. The project included civil, electrical, mechanical and telecommunication works. The civil works included the runway (3.4 km), taxiways (9.6 km), aprons, roads and parking areas. The pavement of the runway and taxiways is prestressed concrete, while the pavement of the overlays and aprons is reinforced concrete. The electrical works included the main power station and substations as well as the runway and taxiways lighting. The electromechanical works included pumping stations, air conditioning and fire fighting systems and landing systems, as well as other communications with the control tower.
